Diamond jewelry is a gift of love, and we believe that every consumer deserves to
be certain that the jewelry they purchase was created through a legitimate process
untouched by conflict. Kama Jewellery is committed to the Kimberley Process, which
prevents the purchase of diamonds from illegitimate producers, and we go even further
than that by refusing to buy diamonds from legitimate governments who use diamonds
to finance their military conflicts. Kama only buys diamonds from the world's major
respected producers and we have binding contracts with all our diamond suppliers
guaranteeing that our diamonds are conflict-free. For our consumers and for ourselves,
we insist on nothing less.
Kama Schachter's conflict-free policy applies to our gold sourcing as well. A worldwide
campaign to prevent harmful gold mining practices, called No Dirty Gold, has established
a list of Golden Rules for mining companies. Kama Jewellery is a signatory to this
campaign and buys gold only from sources that adhere to the Golden Rules – ensuring
that our products are not produced in a way that is harmful to human rights or the
environment.
Since its founding, Kama Jewellery has been committed to the highest standards of
ethical values, both within our own company and in our industry. We welcome any
questions or input from our customers that can help further this cause.
